YONEDA SHRINE

Yoneda Shrine's Autumn Festival is held on the second Sunday and the previous day of October to celebrate the harvest and express thanksgiving for the good crop.

It is said that hundred years ago the shrine was re-built by Chief Retainer of Feudal Domain Kokura, Miyamoto Iori who was Miyamoto Musashi's son in law.

During the festival men and children carry portable shrines in and around town every year.
