JIKO TEMPLE

Jiko-temple was built in 1249 by Jiko, who was a Buddhist priest. The object of worship at this temple is "Amidanyorai", the Buddha of Jodo Sect. There are some ancient treasures in this such as Hokyointo, which is a Hyogo prefectural cultural asset; other treasures are a landscape drawing and a personal sketch drawn in Chinese ink, which are designated as Takasago municipal cultural assets. It is famous for a great image of Buddha, which is 3 meters tall.
