SASAKI SUGURU
Sasaki Suguru was born in Uohashi, Amida cho in 1892. After graduating from Himeji Higher Normal School, he taught at elementary school in his town, as he showed a talent for music, he entered Ueno Music School. Then after graduating, he became a composer. He devoted himself to composing not popular songs, but rather children's songs. His masterpieces are "Tsuki no Sabaku" (Desert in the Moonlight), and "Oyama no Suginoko"(Little Cedar in the Mountain).
